Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited has dismissed reports of an increase in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), stating that its pricing remains unchanged.

The clarification follows circulating reports suggesting that the refinery had raised the ex-depot price of petrol to ₦1,350 per litre from ₦1,275, a move that would have represented a ₦75 increase amid ongoing volatility in Nigeria’s fuel market.

In a statement, the company reaffirmed that no such adjustment had been made, emphasising that its current pricing structure remains in place.

“The refinery, by sustaining its current prices, is reaffirming its commitment to supporting stability in the domestic energy market and cushioning the wider economy against external shocks,” the statement said.

It added that by absorbing prevailing cost pressures, the company is helping to moderate inflationary risks, promote energy affordability and ensure uninterrupted supply despite global uncertainties.

The refinery also reiterated its commitment to the consistent supply of high-quality petroleum products to the Nigerian market, aligning with broader national objectives of price stability and energy security.

It urged the public to rely only on official communications from the company for accurate and up-to-date information regarding its operations and pricing, warning against misinformation in the market.
